Server Information

The main feature of A-Talk is that you can setup your own server and run it for free. You could use A-Talk Server to talk to your friends at school/college/university or talk to collegues at work, what ever you can think of uses for.
Unfortunatly I have not yet completed the server for the public, but am hoping for it to be released at the same time as the client, Monday 9th June 2008. Below are features of A-Talk Server:
- All usernames and passwords are kept on a secure database where passwords are encrypted.
- Ability to create a backup of the database
- Create/delete rooms
- Kick users from the server or a room
- Broadcast a message to all users
- Lock the server
- Runs as a basic web server
A-Talk Server also comes with a remote control. This allows you to remotely control the server from anywhere. You can do the following:
- Collect statistics
- Shutdown server
- Restart server
- Backup database
